Summarize the key results and findings of your work. Present specific data or observations to support your conclusions. Focus on the most significant outcomes and avoid vague statements.
Conclusion / Perspective
Provide a concise summary of your conclusions. Discuss the significance of your findings for the field and explore potential future developments or research directions.

We are pleased to present a variety of panels that will take place as part of the World Congress for Psychotherapy 2025. These panels cover a broad spectrum of topics that are significant for therapeutic practice. As potential presenters, you can gain an overview of the different themes and submit your contributions specifically to one of the following panels. If you have a topic that is not included in the panels mentioned above, please do not hesitate to submit it to submissions@worldpsyche.org. We are open to a diverse range of contributions and look forward to your innovative ideas and research findings.

Methodology
This panel offers a platform for presenting various methodological approaches in research. Presenters will have the opportunity to showcase their research and findings based on the most common research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, action research, theoretical research). The focus will be on the diversity of approaches, as well as their respective strengths and challenges. The panel invites presenters to comprehensively discuss their methodological focuses and their application in research.
Psychotherapy Schools
This panel will introduce various therapy schools and their specific treatment techniques. The discussion will focus on the theoretical foundations of pathology and their application in practice. Experts from different schools will present their approaches and discuss the effectiveness and challenges in therapeutic work. The aim is to provide participants with a broad spectrum of therapeutic possibilities.
Interdisciplinary Subjects
This panel explores the intersections of psychotherapy with various scientific disciplines such as medicine, psychology, sociology, philosophy, educational sciences, etc. It will demonstrate how interdisciplinary approaches can enrich research and practice in psychotherapy. Experts will present their perspectives and research findings from different fields to provide a comprehensive view of mental health. The goal is to encourage participants to look beyond the confines of their own discipline.
Technology
The panel highlights the role of technology, artificial intelligence, and digitalization in the modern world. It will discuss how digital tools and AI-based applications are influencing and transforming diagnostics, therapy, research, and the human psyche. Experts will explore the opportunities and risks of technological advancements in psychotherapy and/or related disciplines and will present practical examples. The goal is to provide participants with an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of digitalization in the psychotherapeutic, psychological, and/or medical context.
Workplace
This panel will cover all aspects of the modern working world. Different facets of the workplace can be addressed, ranging from the challenges of workload and stress to the balance between work and personal life. Experts will share their insights into the psychological impacts of these issues and present practical strategies to promote a healthy work-life balance / life-domain balance.
Trauma
This panel addresses the psychological and psychotherapeutic consequences of trauma. The focus will particularly include the following areas: war, displacement, (natural) disasters, violence, accidents, and loss and grief. Current research findings on the effects of such experiences on mental health will be presented. Experts will discuss treatment options and prevention strategies to support affected individuals. The goal is to raise awareness of these growing challenges and to discuss possible interventions.
Ambulanzen
The panel focuses on the role and significance of psychotherapeutic outpatient clinics in mental health care. It will discuss how psychotherapeutic facilities are utilized in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of mental disorders. Experts will explore the challenges and opportunities of such care and will present innovative models.
Child and Youth Psychotherapy
This panel will focus on the psychological and psychotherapeutic treatment of children and adolescents. Experts will discuss specific treatment techniques, interventions, theoretical approaches, and diagnostic methods. The panel will demonstrate how these concepts are applied in practice and the unique challenges of working with young people. The aim is to provide valuable insights into working with children and adolescents.
Intercultural
This panel explores the significance of culture and intercultural aspects in psychotherapeutic and psychological practice. It will discuss how cultural differences influence diagnosis, therapy, and the therapeutic process. Experts will present strategies to promote cultural sensitivity in practice and to develop intercultural competencies. Additionally, the panel provides space for contributions from individuals from different countries who can showcase culture-specific approaches and experiences. The goal is to foster a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of intercultural work.
Psychosomatic
The panel will explore the field of psychosomatics and the connection between mental and physical illnesses. Experts will discuss the theoretical foundations, diagnostic methods, and therapeutic approaches of psychosomatics. Discussions will include how psychological stress can trigger physical symptoms and what integrative treatment might look like. The aim is to emphasize the importance of psychosomatic approaches in holistic health care.
Diagnostic
This panel will focus on different diagnostic systems and classifications in psychotherapy, psychology and medicine, particularly OPD, DSM, and ICD. Experts will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these systems and their application in clinical practice. The panel will also cover the development and future challenges of diagnostics. Gender
This panel is dedicated to the role of sex and gender in psychotherapeutic practice. It will explore how gender identity and roles influence mental health and the therapeutic process. The discussion will address both the challenges and opportunities that arise from integrating gender perspectives into therapeutic work.
Health Insurance
This panel highlights the relationship between psychotherapy, psychology, and financing through health insurance. It will discuss how the coverage of psychotherapeutic services by health insurance is regulated and the challenges this poses for therapists and patients. Experts will present the different models of reimbursement and their impact on the availability and quality of psychotherapeutic care. Additionally, the panel will explore which reforms or improvements might be necessary in this area to facilitate access to psychotherapy and psychology for all population groups.
